Flexible working options available: We're looking for qualified accountants to support our permanent teams across the UK during audit busy-season. This will be a six month placement starting in October and part time arrangements can be offered, please discuss your flexible working requirements with your recruiter.

About the teamThe Audit landscape is constantly changing - our knowledge helps high profile clients from multinational organisations to family run businesses, across multiple industries. Our Audit teams help deliver to clients a clear path to value through improved transparency with stakeholders, protecting and reporting on information for their business. About the roleAs a Senior Associate, Manager or Senior Manager in Audit , you'll have the opportunity to work across our diverse and exciting client base of businesses that include large multinational listed and internationally headquartered; entrepreneurial and family owned; early stage and fast growth technology, life sciences and cleantech companies; and world leading public, educational and not for profit organisations. With a varied portfolio, you'll be able to gain experience and insight across these, as well as attending client events ranging from formal and technical seminars and dinners through to more relaxed, social networking.

Training offeredWe understand that you may be returning to work after some time away. Therefore to ensure you feel confident and prepared to work, we will be rolling out an intense 30 day mandatory training programme, prior to carrying out any client facing work.

After the training you’ll be expected to:

Provide audit and business advice to a variety of clients

Provide an on-site co-ordination role for audit clients including planning, day to day control of the audit team, liaising with clients and completing audit assignments

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients

Work and liaise with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high quality client service

Report directly to a partner, director, senior manager or manager

Have supervisory responsibility for teams of up to 10 people

Coach and train other staff

Essential skills and experience
  • ACA or equivalent qualification

  • Experience of external audit

  • US GAAP and/or UK GAAP experience

  • A flexible approach and a passion for client service

  • A working knowledge of business development activity
