Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a global manufacturing organisation based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire looking to recruit a driven and dynamic Reporting Accountant. A fast-paced position reporting into the Financial Controller, where you will be involved in statutory reporting, indirect taxes and monthly reporting to the organisations US parent company. A permanent position that can offer progression and development for the right finance professional within a fast-paced environment.

Your new role

Your key duties will include being responsible for maintaining financial records for the UK entities, in accordance with UK and US GAAP, tax and legal requirement. You will manage month-end reporting including preparation and posting of journals and month-end financial reporting. You will be involved in preparation of monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation of quarterly VAT and government statistical reports. You will prepare UK GAAP statutory annual reports, financial statements, manage intercompany processes, preparation of government corporation tax, statutory returns and provide support for the EMEA tax function. You will work with the finance teams in the business and across the shared services reporting, to streamline and standardize the month-end close process.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent and fast-paced Reporting Accountant role you will have experience within a similar position, part-qualified/qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA with strong communication skills and the ability to manage work-loads. You will have a driven approach and be able to work towards time-constraint deadlines. You will have experience of VAT, UK GAAP and ideally intercompany reporting. Experience of SAP systems and US GAAP would be advantageous but not essential, along with have being able to speak multiple languages.
