Financial Compliance Specialist - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Our client, a global organisation with a strong brand presence and customer base, seeks a Finance Compliance Specialist for a 1 year fixed term contract. Reporting to the CFO of one of the businesses within the Group, the Finance Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of financial compliance reviews, process and control reviews, as well as ad hoc projects and investigations. This is a project driven position where you will provide consultancy advice on process controls and documentation, help the business remediate issues and report and present findings to management.
This is a high-profile role requiring an individual with a strong understanding of accounting requirements including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It's essential that this person is a self-starter with excellent planning and time management skills, the ability to work to tight time schedules, work under pressure and who has a high attention to detail.

The role involves frequent travel within the UK and Europe - 50-80%, however this is normally only during the working week. Although this is a contract position, good opportunities exist to develop within the role or wider business.

Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Good technical accounting experience including IFRS gained through top-tier external audit or practical financial reporting experience in a large organisation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills
• The desire and flexibility to travel
