Elite Audit recruitment has been assigned to represent and work on this high profile and transforming new opportunity for this greatly regarded global company.

The role as Director of Group Internal Audit will have an expectation to come into a business that is going through a period of considerable change and improved strategy. You will head up and lead an internal audit department, develop and continuously improve an effective audit plan and risk management framework across the group.

Whilst reporting into the Group CFO and Audit committee the onus of the role will be to provide a service that gives an independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, governance and controls across the Group. You will be expected to develop key relationships with senior management and the Board quickly, implement an internal audit strategy and manage the co-source audit agreement.

The group have operations across the UK and parts of the globe so an element of travel (mainly UK based) will be expected with at least 1-2 days per week based in the London head-office. What we are looking for is a strong calibre individual -someone professionally qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA ideally from a top practice background with approximately 8-10 years’ experience in an internal controls environment. The sectors that will be of most interest from suitable candidates are: manufacturing, logistics, engineering, oil and gas etc. The ideal candidate will possess energy, drive, ambition, willingness to travel in the role and strong leadership skills. There is a possibility longer term that this individual will have the opportunity to progress into a senior finance role within the business.
