Communicate Audit have partnered with a leading telecommunications/manufacturing firm who are looking for a best in class Group Internal Audit Manager in a 14 strong UK department. The firm has a significant market share which continues to expand and have exciting plans to grow the their EMEA operations.

The Internal Audit function is very efficient, using modern internal audit practices and technology which they continue to invest in and are open to new ideas.They are looking for an individual with a strong technical accounting background but with the entrepreneurial mindset to implement change.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for execution of risk-assessments that are used for developing the Annual Audit Plan
  • Leading financial, operational, and compliance audits in conjunction with co-source partners in line with the Annual Audit Plan travelling up to 50% across the EMEA region
  • Business partner with business leaders to develop a strong understanding of the standard processes at a detailed level to identify and recommend solutions to problems
  • Certify the current process documentation for respective divisions is complete and kept up to date for changes, growth and any new M&A activity
  • Ensuring that new operations establish appropriate controls and procedures, and that acquisitions are integrated effectively
  • Continuous development of the testing plans and perform essential internal control testing that meets internal auditing standards
  • Ensure controls are being performed in relation to the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
  • Adheres to team mantra working with control owners to build and develop remediation plans in response to any issues
  • Liaise with the BI team to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of reporting and other business processes
  • Overseeing the development of group-wide accounting policies, procedures and reporting standards
  • Supporting the HOA with the development of formal documentation of the audit framework, policies, risk and control processes
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects where required
