We are working with a large corporate retail business to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team based in Hertfordshire.
You will be recruited as an ambassador to the IA team, which has great opportunities for future career progression. Internal Audit has a track record of developing future leaders and this position is a high-profile role, providing exposure to senior stakeholders and a unique opportunity to learn the company’s varied and diverse activities.
As part of this role, you will perform financial and operational audits in the head offices, divisional offices and operational facilities as part of the annual audit plan, which approved and signed off by the audit committee. You will also lead and execute ad-hoc/special audits as required by senior leaders e.g. fraud investigations, etc. Senior Internal Auditors travel around 10% of the time and rarely would you need to stay away from home.
The successful candidate is likely to be a degree educated graduate, with an accounting, audit, finance or operational background and a solid understanding of business risks and internal controls. A qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, CIA, CIMA, etc. would be helpful. Fluency in English is a must and the ability to speak an additional language would be an advantage.
