Your new firm
A Top 10 National Firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) to join their business services and accounting team in their Manchester City Centre offices as an Accounts Supervisor. The firm provide broad range of services and technical expertise to businesses from start ups through to FTSE 100 companies. They are currently looking to appoint into their business services and outsourcing department which is one of the largest offerings of an accountancy firm within the North West.

Your new role
As an Accounts Supervisor you will operate in a mixed technical and advisory role. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and disclosures under a range of accounting frameworks including FRS102 and IFRS, preparing consolidated accounts and cash flow forecasts and take responsibility for coaching, delegating and providing guidance to the more junior members of staff.

Your client base will be varied and 50% of your time will be spent delivering on advisory and ad hoc technical projects. With this you will be responsible for seeking solutions to clients accounting problems and advising as appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA) who has trained in either audit or accounts and can demonstrate good working knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS. Whilst you must have strong technical skills, you will predominantly operate in an advisory capacity, providing solutions to a range of clients. With this you must be able to demonstrate an inquisitive nature and be comfortable advising and presenting to clients.
