Depending on skills, qualifications and experience
It’s yours to audit.
At MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, we all work towards the same goal – keeping the country safe. It means we do some incredibly important work, safeguarding the UK against cyber-attacks, terrorism and organised crime. So don’t just think of financial controls. When joining Internal Audit and Consultancy, you’ll assess everything from covert surveillance and agent running, to emerging technologies and cyber threats.
As a Senior Internal Auditor with a focus on technology, you’ll work on complex audits for MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. You’ll need to get to grips with how tech supports a variety of areas, some of which will be unique to our intelligence work. So, to understand and evaluate them, you’ll communicate with people across all three organisations. And you’ll also manage a small team of qualified auditors, supporting everyone to carry out high-quality assurance to agreed timescales and budgets.
To join, you’ll need to have a background of internal audit and risk management. It means you’re comfortable performing complex, high risk internal audits, all while dealing with ambiguity. Your experience will all be backed up by your knowledge of applying audit testing methodologies, data analysis and root cause analysis. So you’ll review design control processes, and always look for ways to improve things. And, as confident leader, you’ll build great relationships with customers, foster a collaborative ethos and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
So join us, and the UK’s entire intelligence community is yours to audit.
The UK Intelligence Agencies are Equal Opportunities employers, committed to reflecting the society we protect. Our recruitment process is fair, transparent and based on merit. We particularly welcome applications from diverse and under-represented groups.
