We have been approached and exclusively retained by one of the World’s most famous travel, leisure and hospitality groups help build their Internal Audit team. Our next assignment is to find an Internal Audit Manager, who will be based in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the Group Head of Internal Audit, the primary part of this role is to identify business entity and process risks, use mitigating controls and evaluate internal controls through verification, then also recommend control improvements required to mitigate residual risks and assist continuous improvements in departmental processes. To achieve this, the annual audit programme consists of financial, operational, IT, compliance, and legal audits. Additionally, the internal audit team also conduct special ad hoc investigations, as requested, and support the preparation of documents for presentation to the Audit Committee. Even post COVID-19, travel is expected to be very low, around 5% to other locations in Europe.

You will likely be a Big 4/Top 10 trained audit or finance professional; a relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.) would be helpful but is not necessary. Previous management experience is not essential, and experience in the travel, leisure and hospitality or similarly dynamic industries is a benefit. Fluency in English is essential. We can sponsor non EU candidates, who are willing to relocate/work in Dublin.

Communication and management skills are key to the success of this position, as is maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders at VP/Director level and up to board level to help ensure the audit work carried out adequately addresses the key risks in the Group.

As we have witnessed the building of this team almost from scratch, we know that the progression opportunities are endless. The successful applicant will receive encouragement to take on more responsibility once established in the role, both up in audit and beyond that into the business.
