The Role:

We are working with one of the UK's leading insurance providers based in the beautiful cathedral city of Peterborough, on an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Science Manager who has the ability to work on pricing models. Following on from a strategic review, our client is on a mission to embed data at the heart of all decision making and ensure data and analytics proactively supports the wider business moving forward.

This is a brand new role which will oversee the development of pricing models, via the development and deployment of machine learning approaches, and intelligent use of data. You will manage an incredibly bright and talented team of 3 and ensure that your team is able to have a real commercial impact across the business. This area is rapidly increasing in terms of sophistication and there is a variety of strategic initiatives and projects on the horizon - so a fantastic time to join!

What are we looking for:

• Excellent analytical skills with confidence in a variety of machine learning and modelling techniques
• Strong Python/ R skills
• A history of performing well as in a pricing role in a commercial environment
• Good team management/ leadership experience with a passion for developing and mentoring your team
• Strong academic background, and with a graduate, or postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or another analytical subject.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
