For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
Java DevOps Engineer - J2EE frameworks (6894)
Your Qualifications:
- Several years’ experience as a Software Engineer with minimum of 3 years' expertise in Java
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience of Java/J2EE based application
- Experience working on different J2EE frameworks
- Good experience on Application/ Web servers, Websphere/Tomcat is preferred
- Experience in relational databases preferably with Oracle
- Basic knowledge of Shell and Perl Scripting
- Good communication skills with both IT and Business colleagues
- Self-reliant person, problem solver and motivated to overcome any obstacle
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining Java based web applications
- Experience implementing and integrating Off The Shelf (Vendor) Products
- Work closely with Senior Tech lead and Solution Architect to drive solutions
- Manage and maintain code repositories, prepare and maintain automated deployment scripts
- Able to debug issues quickly whether it’s setup, application configuration or code directly
- Maintain Dev and Test servers and keep them in sync
- Provide details to Technical Lead and BA to prepare Tech design as well as Requirement Specification documents
- Drive and implement good practice in the team to ensure highest quality of deliveries
- Ensuring on time delivery of your tasks assigned by Tech lead and project manager
- Participate in daily scrum and provide updates on work assigned
