INTERNAL CONTROLS ASSISTANT MANAGER
The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are working with a FTSE 100 business based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Our client is hoping to find a candidate with experience working at one of the 'Big 4' accountancy practices who can help them improve the effectiveness of financial and operational controls and comply with necessary Sarbanes-Oxley regulations (SOx). This is the perfect move for someone looking to start a career in Industry and avoid the Central London commute.
Your main responsibilities will be to understand and identify business changes and help the business to evaluate the impact of these changes. You will help design effective controls to mitigate against risks and maintain the company wide Risk and Compliance framework, and perform walkthroughs to test its effectiveness. Importantly, you will provide transparent reporting on the status of SOx compliance and make sure that they are instantly available for auditors and stakeholders. You will be dealing with senior stakeholders every day, so good interpersonal skills are key.
The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified 1+ year post qualified experience. You will have gained some good experience of SOx compliance, be a strong communicator and an excellent attention to detail.
