PwC has an established commodity trading risk management (CTRM) and energy trading risk management (ETRM) practice within the Treasury and Commodity group. As a Senior Associate in the team, you will be responsible for supporting teams in delivering Advisory and Assurance services to our clients surrounding the trading landscape.
About the Role
The role will give those who work in trading risk management the chance to build on their existing ETRM/CTRM knowledge and experiences by working across a broad range of clients, in a team with significant experience and insights into the industry. Senior Associates are expected to provide advisory and assurance services as part of a team delivering
ETRM and CTRM ecosystem implementation projects spanning strategy, advisory, implementation and project governance.
Insights into emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, automation and blockchain.
Trade surveillance and compliance projects.
Advice on Commodity Risk Management.
Review of commodity risk management and trading policies, processes, controls and reporting.
Review and development of price, market, credit and liquidity risk frameworks for trading portfolios.
Essential skills & experience
An understanding of Commodities Trading business model and deal life cycle (including typical systems and data requirements).
Experience of working as a Business Analyst or similar position supporting an ETRM/CTRM system in a gas, power, oil or soft commodities trading environment.
Experience with client and delivery management.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Design and implementation experience of tools that enhance the capabilities of the ETRM systems.
End to end project capabilities including ETRM implementation experience.
Shaping of a Trading Systems Business Case and Project Initiation.
Trading Business Model Design and Requirements Development for Trading Processes and Systems.
Trading Project and Client Management experience including delivery of major Trading Systems (e.g. Openlink, Allegro, Triplepoint, Sungard, Trayport, Aspect).
Project management qualification desirable (PMP, Prince2 etc.).
