Currently at Fawkes and Reece we are looking for a Head of Contracts and Compliance to join our flagship office here in London, Bank. With 20 years of experience within the recruitment industry, specialising in the Built environment and civil engineering sectors, we pride ourselves on the long-lasting relationships we have created with a collection of brilliant Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction firms in the UK.
As the head of contracts and compliance you will be at the heart of the business reporting to the Board of directors while overseeing the contractual and compliance duties as well as managing the company's exposure to commercial risk. Having experience in this field within a recruitment environment, dealing with such matters is key due to the importance of this role.
The successful applicant will be joining as Team Lead to the contracts and compliance desk ensuring recruitment consultants are appropriately supported and providing key operational management and support to the company directors in our London & Southampton offices.
Other Duties/ responsibilities
* Risk mitigation through contract review, negotiation and liaison with senior directors
and clients
* Management of compliance accreditations including REC membership, Constructionline,
Builders Profile RISQS and ISO9001:2015
* Creation and ongoing management of all company policies; for internal and external use
* Drawing up all employment contracts for contractors to ensure all legal liabilities and
requirements are highlighted, making sure client contracts have been mirrored
* Managing litigation proceedings against clients who have contravened our terms of
business
* Generating reports for senior directors on an ad-hoc basis to monitor contractual
compliance.
* Raising offer letters and contracts for new employees
* Awareness of employment legislation, recruitment legislation and best practice
* Changing employee handbook in line with changes in employment legislation
