Job description for your ready reference-
- Providing line management for Data Analyst colleagues in the team
- Responsible for the delivery of development activity on assigned projects; managing the workload of a team of Developers and Testers
- Owning and managing the development team plan. Overall responsibility for creating and keeping the development plan up to date and accurate - eg on Jira, Excel, Microsoft Project
- Running daily development team calls - chairing, keeping team on track, updating plan in meetings
- Ensuring sprint process is followed - stand ups, sprint planning, sizing, retrospectives etc
- Ensuring development team resources are creating and maintaining the required artefacts (eg requirements, design, data source documents etc)
- Ensuring development team are all aware of the design and that the design is being shared (coordinating regular design catch ups)
- Ensuring designs are going to the appropriate review forums when needed
- Ensuring resources are working to full potential and thatwe have the right development resource on the project based on backlog - escalating to Project Manager if over/under resourced
- Submitting third party development team resource requests and approving/managing quotations in the system
- Supporting development team resources to resolve blockers (eg access requests for new resources, calls with US teams etc)
- Raising/progressing Changes for the development team; ensuring correct process is followed for roll outs and SQL scripts are prepared for the DBAs
- Having awareness and knowledge of overall project solution/picture
- Escalating blockers that cannot be controlled by the development team or are at risk of being delayed to Project Manager
- Keeping Project Manager up to date with development plan status
- Contributing to risk register when risks arise in the development plan
- Attending (ad hoc) backlog prioritisation meetings to understand context/wider picture
- Attending cross-team meetings to align development team resources and dates
About you:
- You'll have a strong Data background including experience of SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, analytics and visualisation tools. You will be proactive, resilient with strong leadership skills
