Internal Audit Senior Manager

Your new company

Your new company is a large Construction business, operating across both residential, retail and commercial developments - with sites in both the UK and Europe. The business turns over circa £2 bn per annum, but has a lean audit team - which will see you gaining exposure to senior stakeholders in the business, as well as liaising with front-line 'boots on the ground' employees.


Your new role

In your new role as Internal Audit Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Internal Audit, operating as their number 2 in the function, working alongside 2 operational audit managers to ensure robust audits happen within Head Office functions (finance, sales, IT, HR etc.).

This is a broad remit role, and you will be required to get hands-on with the audit fieldwork, as well as assisting the Head of IA on audit planning, and running the open/close meetings. The expectation in this role would be for you to move in at number 2 level, learn the business and upskill yourself to a situation where within 2/3 years you are able to take on the Head of IA role.


What you'll need to succeed

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA etc.)
• Experience operating at senior level in an Internal Audit function
• Ability, and desire, to lead an IA function in circa 2/3 years
• Experience in Corporate Auditing (HR, Finance, Sales, IT etc.)
