Senior Internal Auditor (Munich or Prague)

A Fortune 500 logistics and distribution business has asked us to find a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team, based in either Munich, Germany or Prague, Czech. The company employs over 60,000 people and turns over more than $10bn annually. 
  
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Audit, although the Internal Audit team (made up of 30 IA professionals) ultimately reports into the Audit VP in the USA. The majority of the work will involve performing financial, operational and internal control audits of the Group companies across Europe with the possibility of being involved in the Group audits too. This role can be based in either Munich or Prague and there will be degree of international travel (around 25% post COVID, when it is safe to travel).

The candidate will ideally have worked for one of the top 10 or Big 4 accountancy practices, with experience in audit or in an internal audit role in a multi-national firm. Audit qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIA, etc. are desired but are not essential. Fluency in English is essential. German and/or Czech would be a strong advantage, and would some additional European language skills (Slovakian, Hungarian, Romanian, French, Italian, Spanish etc.) would be helpful. 
  
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others, ensuring excellent service delivery and communicating effectively both as a member of a team and on your own initiative. Adaptability and determination are key personal attributes, and you will be encouraged to look for innovative solutions to any problems you may encounter. You should have a commitment to constant improvement and delivering a better service, therefore you should be self-motivated, pro-active and willing to take on tasks and duties commensurate with the role.
