Change Public Practice are working with a Top 10 Firm, on a number of opportunities, for motivated and ambitious Audit Senior Managers to join their Commercial Audit Team in various UK locations. Successful candidates must be a Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or overseas equivalent, and we are looking for candidates currently living and working in the UK.

In these roles. you’ll be part of a growing and dynamic team working with a range of Audit clients, including both local and international organisations. You’ll manage your portfolio of clients and your audit team from planning to completion. These roles offer a fantastic portfolio of varied clients ranging from FTSE and AIM listed client to smaller owner managed businesses.

Key responsibilities within this role include:

  • Managing a fantastic portfolio of varied clients (ranging from FTSE and AIM listed clients to smaller owner managed businesses). Your engagements will include compliance, planning and risk assessment, fieldwork, completion and reporting
  • You should have proven skills in understanding clients and their industry and appreciating market and economic factors affecting clients
  • Experienced in preparing, monitoring and controlling budgets and profitability
  • Confident in preparing and presenting reports to Client Senior Management and Audit Committees, including pitch documents and presentations
  • A keen coach who is passionate about coaching and developing their team of auditors, including performance management and constructive feedback
  • Collaborative networker who likes to share ideas 
  • Proactive person who is keen to identify and develop other business opportunities with clients and new business opportunities through internal and external networking
  • Excellent at liaising with relevant teams on risk management and technical issues
  • Proficient at building rapport with clients and maintaining relationships
  • Supporting Partners with implementing and communicating new business strategy for existing clients, target clients and the internal business

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent

Essential Experience:

  • High proficiency in IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience of managing a variety of non-FS Audits, reporting to Engagement Leader
  • Currently a non-FS Audit Senior Manager or very experienced Audit Manager, ready to step-up to Senior Manager
  • Experience of group audits, consolidations and statutory accounting disclosures, including clients with overseas interests
  • Proven track record of managing a variety of audits. This includes compliance, planning and risk assessment, fieldwork, completion and reporting; and management/coaching/appraisals/counselling and recruiting of your team
  • Great project management skills including budgeting, profit management, time management, well organised, experienced coordinator, good analytical and evaluation skills and excellent decision maker
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with all stakeholders
  • Confident at building rapport with clients and maintaining excellent relationships
  • Great role model for colleagues and ambassador for the firm
  • Comfortable using technology, including a high proficiency in the Office 365 suite of products
