Senior Security Engineer - Gloucestershire
Senior Security Engineer needed for a growing and well-established managed security service provider in Gloucestershire. Our client provides a full range of services from consultancy, training, crisis response, security assessments and products, which includes products which have been developed inhouse. Our client has a robust growth plan in place with their mission to be one of the go-to experts in the managed security services industry, it is an exciting time to join and become an integral part of their growth where your ideas and input will be heard.
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance and support of their managed services. You will also take the lead on the technical design and deployment for the clients inhouse managed service products (SIEM/RMM tools).
Further responsibilities:
- Deliver Proof of Concept demonstrators
- Support with technical sales demonstrations when required
- Provide security and IT support to the wider SOC team members
- Oversee all maintenance and support of their managed services
- Patch management and remote monitoring
- Weekly reporting to the Technical Director
- Develop an engineering team to support the client's growth plans
Requirements:
- Experience with management and configuration of Windows, Linux and Mac OSX operation systems and architecture
- Experience across all areas of the Elastic / ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash), including design, deployment and management
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), including design, deployment and management
- Experience with the configuration and management of routers and switches (including VLAN and WAP configurations) and firewalls
In addition to the above, any experience with any of the below will be highly beneficial (but not mandatory):
- SIEM experience (ideally LogRhythm, Alien Vault, Elastic SIEM or Azure Sentinel)
- Virtualisation tools (VMWare / Hyper-V)
- Network design and security architecture reviews
- An understanding of the MITRE framework
- Experience of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials of CAF frameworks
- Service desk support processes and procedures
Offering up to GBP65,000 PA plus numerous benefits (workplace health/benefits package, access to online cyber security training courses, genuine career progression opportunities and much more).
Also, flexibility to work from home (currently 100% working from home due to COVID restrictions)
