This is an opportunity for individuals with internal audit experience, gained within the financial services sector, to work for a unique and exciting bank, with a mission for UK SMEs to prosper and grow. The institution works with a variety of delivery partners such as high street, digital, specialist and challenger banks, venture capital and private debt funds and fintech platforms, to achieve their goals.

The role will work closely with the existing Senior Managers within the team and will be required to perform operational and financial internal audits.

The Internal Audit Manager will plan individual audits, defining audit objectives and preparing audit plans, and complete on-site business audits, evaluating the effectiveness of controls and writing up reports.

The position also requires an individual capable of challenging current working practices and finding ways to improve internal risk controls, such as adopting innovative and efficient audit techniques, e.g. Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)

Aside from internal audit experience, it is crucial that applicants are familiar with the relevant international standards and quality benchmarks governing internal audit practice, including internal audit code of ethics.
