Job Details:
Main responsibilities:
Ensure that information security policies, standards and guidelines are operating effectively across the organisation and update periodically or when necessary
Carry out risk assessments to ensure that the possible impacts of a cyber-incident are identified, understood, managed and mitigated in accordance with business tolerance.
Manage the risk register, and coordinate risk mitigation activities
Carry out control effectiveness assessments to ensure that the possible impacts of poor controls incident are identified, understood, managed and mitigated in accordance with business tolerance.
Support the ISDP Manager in establishing and maintaining the risk and compliance working groups to ensure risks are appropriately managed and communicated across Oxford University Press
Partner with risk managers and Business/Function leads to ensure that risk processes and requirements are embedded globally
Proactively identify and assess changes in relevant frameworks, legislation and regulation, advising and educating stakeholders on relevance, impact and proportionate business responses
Desirable skills:
Some office based work experience
Clear communication skills and confidence explaining terms to a senior audience
Strong focus on timely delivery of output
Good verbal and written communication skills
Personal qualities:
A highly proactive nature, to identify problems and suggest workable solutions, be self-motivated to learn and further they skills and own future
Ability to work with a range of business stakeholders to understand their challenges
The ability to work collaborative and bring people together around a common goal
Desired qualifications:
A-Levels in ICT/Business/Computing
Or an Apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least the level below the planned programme)
Or an International Baccalaureate at level 3 in ICT
Future prospects:
At the end of the apprenticeship the candidate will have the opportunity to continue working in the thriving Information Security sector or using the skills and knowledge gained as a basis to start approaching other IT areas.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
