Senior Internal Auditor

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company has been mandated by a Surrey based (commutable from London) Financial Services Company on Senior Internal Audit Vacancy. The role will take significant responsibility for the auditing of business goals and performance objectives, and for assessing the impact of a variety of economic, financial and management decisions, making sure the right controls are in place to ensure the business meets its objectives. This will entail the delivery of both financial and operational audits across the Group as well as more complex strategic audits to the business as required.

The position will be paying a starting salary of 55k + package.

After COVID? Our client has a made a strategic realignment and commitment towards remote working that will continue when things get back to normal. The successful candidate will not be expected to be in the office more than two days of the week

Responsibility

• You will have full accountability for the end to end delivery of the Group Internal Audit Plan. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle, from planning, testing, reporting, delivery and follow up
• There will be a variety of audits to deliver, from Actuarial to insurance to Operations
• Proactively identifying areas where risk is outside of the business’ ‘appetite’ levels and make value recommendations to Management to address weaknesses
• Supporting the business in the development of their current control framework to maximise its effectiveness in a cost effective way

You will must have the following background

• ACA or CIA qualification from a Big 4 / Top 10 environment
• Significant Internal Audit experience in a Financial Service environment; whether this is with Financial Service clients or within in an inhouse Internal Audit FS team.
• An ability to independently deliver accurate and concise work to tight deadlines
• Demonstrable experience of having build out relationships across your previous employer
