Head of Internal Audit

A world renowned Oil & Gas firm are looking to replace their Head of Audit. The role is UK based but the remit and the team are global. They are a leading player in the UK's Oil & Chemical industry and are a company looking to expand in the near future. The position can be based from a few locations around the UK and you won't be required to be in the office often.

Key Responsibilities:

• To continue with the Audit plan and make changes where appropriate
• Manage a team spread across the globe
• To work closely with external and internal partners in the planning and the delivery of internal audit reporting
• Report into the Audit Committee quarterly and a dotted line to the CFO
• Test the companies Internal Control procedures and continuously improve their risk framework
• You will need to be able to commit to 20% international travel

The successful candidate will have:

• An accounting qualification such as a ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA is a necessity
• Big 4 experience is a plus
• Previous Audit Committee exposure
• Oil & Gas experience
• Experience managing teams across different time zones
• The ability to work autonomously and run projects to a high standard
• Ability to work well under pressure, whilst producing results
• Experience in report writing is essential
• Strong analytical skills are essential
