A Data Analytics and Automation Engineer is required by this Financial company based in the City of London. You will help support the data function and the way they process data within the business. You will be able to help, support and develop the existing and new ETL projects, process automation projects and work on report development projects. This role will involve using a combination of SQL, XML script, VBScript, PHP, excel macro and SSRS skills.

The Company has bespoke operational critical systems that require ongoing support and maintenance which will be the primary function of your role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* Day to day maintenance and support for the critical operational systems

* Day to day maintenance and support for the automated processes that run in VisualCron

* Develop and implement new SSRS reports and provide support for existing reports

* Develop and implement efficient, controlled and scalable ETL projects

* Creating web forms using PHP to add value to their existing Intranet site

* Represent and promote the BI and the data function internally

* Documentation of work where necessary

* Assist in the maintenance of databases and act as a point of contact for data related enquiries

Skills & Experience

* Must have experience in writing complex SQL Stored procedures, View, Triggers and designing data definition & creating tables

* Developing excel macros and VBScripts

* SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Report Builder

* PHP and/or Python

* Logical knowledge of process automation, they use a tool called VisualCron & processes are designed using Visio.

* Knowledge of SDLC and change management

* Experience using source control - Github

* Demonstrate an excellent understanding of BI, data products and services

* Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to deal confidently and professionally with senior members within the business

* Experience in working on concurrent projects and meeting required deadlines.

* Excellent organisational skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills

* Working background in Finance, Investment or Insurance
