The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) are an executive agency of HM Treasury, established in April 2015 to improve the quality of internal audit provided to central government.
We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Data Analytics to lead our specialist team.
In this role you will build relationships with colleagues in customer facing teams to understand their need for data analytics and develop services to meet those needs.
You will also build relationships with data specialists across government and in the private sector to conduct collaborative research and development, ensuring our customers benefits from the latest thinking and developments!
Key responsibilities of this post will include:
- Lead the GIAA data analytics specialist team, motivating and encouraging the team to achieve their full potential
- Identify and develop with the team new data analytics services to support GIAA activities
- Carry out data analytics and develop dashboards to report to customers
- Manage resources to deliver to GIAA quality standards and meet agreed timescales for delivery
- Develop relationships with strategic delivery partners to deploy additional resources when demand exceeds availability of GIAA internal resources
You will have a degree in a discipline such as engineering, mathematics or computer science with demonstrated experience in the use of data analytics. Alternatively, a professional qualification to chartered or equivalent in internal audit or accountancy (IIA/CCAB or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in the use of data analytics
