It offers a broad range of services, including help with family issues, maintaining work/life balance and mental health support.

The Role:

M&G plc is a FTSE 100 company created in October 2019 when the business demerged from Prudential Plc.  As a result of impending maternity leave an opportunity has arisen to join the Group Reporting team in Edinburgh.

M&G plc is required to report its consolidated IFRS financial statements to the market twice a year as well quarterly Management information and regulatory Group Solvency 2 reporting.  This role will play a key part in contributing to the process that underpin the overall preparation and delivery of the Group’s financial reporting.

In addition, there are substantial change projects currently in progress across the business which will have a notable impact on the Group Reporting team and their processes.  This aspect will also be an important component of the role.

It is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic accountant to support the ongoing evolution of the M&G plc Group Reporting team as the business continues to grow and gain stature as a standalone company.

Company

A leading savings and investment company with a long-term outlook

Our aim is to grow our customers’ wealth and improve their world by investing with care.

Caring for our customers for over 170 years

Ever since Prudential was founded as a loans and life assurance company in 1848, we have sought to democratise wealth by helping as many people as possible gain access to our products.

M&G Investments was established in 1931 with a similar mission to make the benefits of long-term savings more widely available, introducing the first mutual fund to the UK.

These two companies came together in 2017 to form a new leader in savings and investments: M&G plc. The name has changed but our purpose has not: to help millions of people to manage and grow their savings so that they can live the life they want.

Our People

Great people are our most important asset. We know how important it is to create the right environment so that exceptional individuals want to work for, and stay with, us. To get this right, we employ only the best and brightest individuals and give them the technology, support and encouragement they need to be the best they can.
