Senior Internal Auditor

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor on behalf of a Leicestershire based, luxury retailer.  UK headquartered and recently listed, the business is continuing to grow rapidly (further expansion in the US as a recent example) and has performed extremely well financially, even over the last year.

This position is newly recreated and will report into an impressive Head of Internal Audit and Risk.  You will manage and deliver audits including leading clearance meetings (e.g., with the exec team), and help the business better understand and manage its risks.  Supporting the Head of, you will also be a contributor to the annual plan, and direction and development of the function.

Given it is a small team, the ability to ‘hit the ground running’ is paramount so prior experience in delivering internal audits or other risk advisory type work is required, whether this has been within practice or in-house.

Also, the business has a real dynamic and entrepreneurial feel where the pace of change is quick so it’s a great environment to demonstrate your wider commercial awareness and softer skills.

Long term, there is plans to further grow the team lending itself to you progressing into a more senior role.

In terms of other requirements, you will posses an audit or accounting qualification (CIA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA) and any experience utilising data analytics would be beneficial.
