Risk Manager - luxury retailer

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company is exclusively recruiting a Risk Manager on behalf of a luxury retailer with a globally recognised name. 

You would be joining a medium sized global audit and risk function with the role resulting from a promotion within the team.  Most of the team is UK based including a personable senior manager who will be your line manager.  The work environment is collaborative and agile, and you would be expected in the office just a couple of days a week, if that, as long as there is the flexibility to be there when needed.

In terms of responsibilities, your focus will be to provide assurance over Group wide risks and support risk management activities across all facets of the business.  This will include facilitating risk assessments and identifying and prioritising risks and mitigating actions.  You will gain fantastic exposure and the nature of the work is very much valued added, for example, partnering senior stakeholders to provide risk management support and advice.  Key therefore will be a pragmatic, flexible and proactive approach, and the ability to apply sound commercial judgement.  Additionally, you will have plenty of input into the function in working closely with your line manager to deliver on strategy and risk management plan.

Regarding background, prior risk management experience (5+ years) is required, and you will have a track record of applying risk management practices.  Ideally this will have been within retail and on a global scale, but at least within a large, commercially focused organisation.
