Senior Technical Accountant - COV/UK

KPP Search is currently partnered with a globally recognised company, who are currently expanding their European operations. They are currently having a hiring surge and are looking to expand their accounting team as a result. At this present moment, they are searching for technical accountants to join their office in Coventry, UK.

As Senior Technical Accountant you will be part of the wider governance function which has business interests and operations around the world (LATAM, EMEA & APAC). You will be responsible for delivering various accounting projects across a multi-billion pound division that spans globally across Europe.

Your projects will include various accounting frameworks which are aligned to the internal methodologies of the business. Some of these accounting aspects will include lease accounting and US GAAP.

Alongside this, you will be given opportunities for growth, including performance-based promotion/rewards alongside a high-level overview of the business. You will also partner with various accounting teams across Europe working collaboratively to deliver accounting reports to senior-level stakeholders. 

This position reports directly to the European Head of Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and lead accounting and controls projects in accordance with the company’s internal methodology.
• Provide guidance to various stakeholders on how to improve their accounting and controls practices.
• Support ad-hoc tasks as provided.
• Support the wider governance function, including the audit process.

Requirements

• Professional experience working within a large-sized and globally recognised company.
• Professional qualifications/certifications are a benefit i.e ACA, ACCA, CIMA and other related qualifications.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Lease Accounting is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An ambitious mindset.
