Are you a driven Finance and Compliance Manager with a knowledge of the construction industry looking to work at a progressive and growing family business with a warm friendly culture?
We are looking for an experienced Finance & Compliance Manager to oversee our Finance Team and work closely with the Operations Team and the Company Partners. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end finance process to include financial planning and analysis and making improvements to procedures and controls thereby taking responsibility for the financial health of the company this includes ensuring all WIP accounting principles are implemented and followed. You will be relied upon for analysis and advice to the partners to support and guide decision making.
Compliance is a key element to the company operation and with your team you will co-ordinate and ensure compliance with bodies such as ISO, FSC and several construction specific bodies including Acclaim & Builders Profile.
DEPARTMENTAL & TEAM MANAGEMENT
KPI/Goalsetting for the department
Annual appraisals and regular reviews.STRATEGY AND PLANNING
Assist in the development of strategic direction and decision.
Compile and analyse financial information for presentation to Partners to include general accounting, cash control, costing and budget data, monthly management accounts.ACCOUNTS
Oversee and manage and control the with Accounts payable, VAT returns and associated cash flow forecasting and control.
Oversee the management of credit control ensuring effective, targeted communications and follow up to resolve issues to ensure the debt is managed.
Manage and control the overheads of the business to include utilities, insurances etc.
Create R&D claims along with other Tax & Grant funding submissions.WIP ACCOUNTING
Implement and ensure WIP accounting principles are followed working closely with Sales to ensure initial setup is correct against contract and process.
Maintain WIP reports by working with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information (Operations/Warehouse/Stock control) and agree action to implement improvements.
Create the internal WIP monthly valuations.COMPLIANCE
Overall responsibility for company retaining compliance and regulatory approval from bodies such as ISO and FSC.
Point of contract for all internal and external auditors.CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Make improvements to process and procedures within the Finance remit.
