My Client is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their busy growing team.

Reporting to the Customer Care Manager you will be responsible for auditing Body Worn Video (BWV) footage to consider compliance with High Court/ HMCTS/ council procedures and applicable legislation and codes of conduct.

You will prepare detailed reports in line with your observations, will provide feedback and identify training requirements. These reports will also be used to support the Customer Care Team in resolving complaints.

This is a challenging and demanding position and, as such, you will be expected to manage your time efficiently. You will be working autonomously providing precise and accurate reports in line with agreed standards and checking levels set by your line manager.

Core duties & Responsibilities

* Work with Customer Care Manager to establish audit schedule and checking levels based on volume of inbound complaints and individual Enforcement Agent activity.

* Access Body Worn Video footage from Sharepoint / Cder site.

* Report failure to load footage or significant gaps in expected duration.

* Review footage thoroughly, and in its entirety.

* Write reports based on your observations that are sufficiently accurate and detailed to support submission to Court / Ministry of Justice / HCEOA and complaint resolution.

* Highlight areas of identified non-compliance with enforcement legislation, industry best practice and internal policies and procedures.

* Identify training needs at individual Agent and organisational level

* Constructively communicating findings to interested parties throughout the business

* Recognise, and escalate to Senior Management, any matters that need immediate attention.

* Maintain accurate records on our CMS by uploading all completed reports to file.

* Complete all company registers and logs fully to provide accurate MI and statistics to enable root cause analysis

* Remain conscious that the footage viewed will contain materials of a sensitive, personal and confidential nature.

* Work in a manner that ensures security of data, review your own actions and processes to ensure data protection requirements are not breached

* Report any breaches of data protection requirements, whether your own or others, immediately to line manager and Experience

* Previous experience in audit / quality checking role

* Can demonstrate a good understanding of legislation and guidelines as laid down by Government and Associations dealing with High Court Writs.

* Working individually with personal responsibility for completing work

Essential Knowledge / Skills

Good understanding of English language, verbal and written.

Good numerical skills.

Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise.

Ability to achieve targets.

Maintain a good level of administration

Remains calm and confident and responds logically and decisively in difficult situations

Excellent eye for detail.

Identifying training needs.

IT literate - proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

Desirable Knowledge/Skills

Good observation skills.

Knowledge of High Court/HMCTS/council procedures and applicable legislation and codes of conduct.

Knowledge of local area.

Knowledge of debt recovery.

Desirable Qualifications

5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent or Level 2 NVQ qualification
