Job Details

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company is assisting a major UK infrastructure programme recruit a Fraud Investigator.  This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced corporate fraud investigator seeking to operate in a high-profile organisation where you can see the immediate impact of your work.

The primary focus of your role will be leading investigations into fraud, bribery, and corruption across the breadth of the organisation.  You will also conduct fraud risk assessments and provide fraud awareness training, in short, you will be the SME and go to person for any fraud, bribery or corruption related matters.  You will be well supported, including by a small team of data analytics specialists, therefore providing you with the tools to conduct proactive, investigative fraud work.

Additionally, you will collaborate with other investigatory compliance, audit, and law enforcement bodies, both internally and externally, so the ability to communicate and challenge across levels will be key.

Skills and background

  • Track record of conducting complex fraud investigations within corporate environments
  • Significant experience in the detection and investigation of complex fraud investigations involving procurement or contract fraud
  • Knowledge of operational facets of the procurement/ contract management process and procurement/ contract management fraud risks, red flags, controls and investigation techniques
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of criminal law
  • Professional accreditation in a fraud discipline e.g. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Professional Investigations Programme - Level 2 (PIP), Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS – Expert)

The position can be based from either their London or Birmingham.  You can expect to enjoy a strong work life balance and the ability to work from home if not required in the office for a specific purpose.

 

In addition to the base salary, a comprehensive wider benefits package (20% flex fund which can be taken as cash) and strong company pension contribution of 12% is on offer.
