We look for a colleague in our Audit team:
- With 5-8 years working experience in financial audit
- Good analytic and numeric skills
- Good planning and coordination abilities
- Business oriented
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Team player
- Willing to continuously improve their knowledge
- Excellent communication skills in Romanian and English (French/ German are an advantage)
- Entrepreneurial approach
- Previous exposure to financial services industry (insurance, banking, etc.) would also be a plus
- Holding a professional qualification in the accounting field would also represent an advantage
What will be his/her role in our team?
The Audit Manager is responsible for coordinating audit teams on the field work, writing the audit reports, and maintaining the relationship with the customers, and developing audit business for all service lines of Mazars.
As a member of our professional team, you will have to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach, initiative, and pro-active thinking. Moreover, you will perform independent work, coordinate team members, maintain the communication with your colleagues and with clients’ representatives, and prepare or validate the documents which are to be delivered to customers. Your key responsibilities will include, among others:
TECHNICAL AREA:
- plan audit engagements, identify potential risk areas and acts for their elimination
- coordinates the audit teams in technical matter s and obtains customers’ assessment of the audit team’s performance
- reviews working papers prepared by the team for high risk areas and for any other areas for which a review is required to ensure the highest professional quality of the audit work
- perform independent work and prepare the final documents which are to be delivered to customers after Partner/Head of Audit approval
- keep up to date with developments in relevant professional standards and regulations, and provide for the observance of professional quality standards by the audit team members, particularly of the ISA and Mazars recommendations, and the general rules regarding professional conduct by the audit team members
- provide for the observance of deadlines and maintain communication with the team and customers
- hold timely consultations with the engagement partner or any other person in charge of the engagement to mitigate risks and to inform on the progress of the engagements
- proactive initiative and thinking in approaching any audit or professional related issues
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
- identify the requirements of current or potential customers and take such requirements as a basis for additional services to be rendered by Mazars Romania
- prepare offers/proposals for potential clients, discuss them with partner and send them to client’s prospects after partner approval
- make recommendations for the improvement of any customer’s competitive advantages, thus reflecting full understanding of the customer’s industry and competitive status
- establish close working relationships with customers during audit mission engagements, with a view to meeting their expectations and assessing their requirements
- get involved in the invoicing and collection of receivables; use proactive initiative and thinking in approaching any audit-related issues
TEAM DEVELOPMENT:
- evaluate the professional performance of team members in accordance with Mazars procedures
- participate in the process of selecting new senior auditors and audit assistants; prepare materials (e.g. IAS/IFRS-related) for personnel and customers’ training and deliver the trainings
- coach and steer more junior colleagues in their professional career; evaluate the professional performance of each team member in accordance with Mazars international procedures
- may receive other tasks and activities related to the job and not listed above may also need to be performed, depending on the business and the department’s needs
