IAC is exclusively partnering with a leading UK charity to recruit a Risk & Compliance Lead. This is a newly created role tasked with developing Risk Management and Compliance across the charity.

The Risk & Compliance Lead is a key role as part of my clients ongoing strategy to fulfil their vision. The primary purpose of the role is to elevate the prominence, understanding and capability in relation to risk management, assurance over the internal control environment and compliance with laws/ regulations. You will work closely with the Leadership Team, Trustees and Audit & Risk Committee to ensure they have access to clear, concise tools and reporting information and that adequate risk management and internal control systems are in place to assess risk appetite and to manage the major risks. You will also support the General Counsel to maintain appropriate and accessible whistleblowing procedures and ensure that any serious incidents that may arise have been investigated and reported on to ensure implementation of any corrective actions that are required.

Given the seniority of the role, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience of leading risk management and compliance activities. This can be from another charity, public sector or commercial organisation. You will be comfortable influencing and developing relationships at Board level and demonstrate experience of applying critical thinking skills to identify risks, policy and control deficiencies.

The role is based in Central London but there is significant flexibility to work remotely as long as the successful candidate is within commuting distance to Central London.
