A newly created team, led by our Chief Strategy Officer, will ensure cohesion between the different elements of the City Corporation as we move forward.

The role

Your expertise in strategy development and business planning will be critical to achieving the outcomes of our rolling five-year corporate plan. Providing professional advice and guidance to different departments, you’ll we ensure we get the best from various strategic processes, tools and techniques. You will also work closely with the Head of Strategy & Performance and the Corporate Risk Manager to shape and maintain transformation in business planning and risk management, while supporting the Chief Strategy Officer in their role as Head of Profession for Business Planning. Developing a cohesive and collaborative community of professionals will be a key outcome for this role.

About you

You’re likely to have experience of shaping and developing corporate strategy in a large and complex organisation, including work on business or professional standards. Both analytical and strategic in your thinking, you’ll be capable of building productive working relationships and influencing decisions at all levels. Flexible, collaborative and credible, you’ll be ready to work under pressure and prioritise a demanding workload. A comprehensive knowledge of relevant local and national government issues, including governance and performance, is essential.
