What you'll be doing
Working in the Security Operations team, your primary responsibility is helping to protect the organisation from threats and vulnerabilities. You will be the first escalation point for the security team, analysing incidents, coordinating, and responding alongside other teams inside of Thames Digital and other functions inside of the business to prevent both internal and external threats, always working within the published Incident Response Standard

We're looking for you to do
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that corporate data and infrastructure are safeguarded from threats
  • Monitor security events from various SOC entry channels, escalate and investigate issues in line with internal policies
  • Participate in the IT Security Incident and Vulnerability management process
  • Proactively assesses potential risks and opportunities of vulnerability in the network.
  • Aid in the improvement and creation of SOC use cases, playbooks and procedures
What Skills are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Proficiency in SIEM Analysis
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI Layer, DNS etc)
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team building, conflict management, and time management skills
  • Strong experience with Threat detection, Incident handling and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Python and/or PowerShell
  • Competent in the use of Structure query languages, KQL (SPL a bonus)
  • Strong experience with Azure Sentinel (Splunk is a bonus)
