This scale-up risk-science firm has recently received Series A funding and is growing rapidly towards the next round of investment. They are developing a unique modelling and analytics platform to help international corporations assess their risks and opportunities presented by various risks including systemic financial risk, geopolitical, and climate change.

This role is part of our Enterprise Risk Modelling team focused on developing risk scenarios to support large global corporations understand the impact and mitigate against large systemic risks. We’re looking for a candidate with prior modelling experience ideally from within a corporate risk management function or consultancy firm.

In this role you will be responsible for modelling a broad range of risks including financial disasters, geopolitical conflicts, social unrest, and cyber-attacks. The team are required to use a range of modelling techniques, leverage structured and unstructured data sources, and carry out extensive research in order to quantify the impact of these events on corporate balance sheets.

You will hold an advanced degree in a numerical subject and have experience with enterprise risk modelling or scenario development either in a corporate risk function, consultancy or academic research position. You will have strong ability in modelling languages (Python preferred but other languages may include, R, MatLab, SQL, Excel VBA, C++) and experience with a relational database (such as PostgreSQL).
