Horizon Talent Solutions are looking for a qualified Audit Manager with Pension Scheme experience to join our clients specialised Pensions team. This role offers remote working so can be based anywhere in the UK.

This highly reputable and respected accountancy practice is offering a great chance to work with excellent clients, including interesting exposure to the Pension Protection Fund space. Great opportunity to be part of a growing and supportive team.

The Role:

  • Plan and manage the flow-through and completion of Audit work for clients.
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge of Audit and Financial Reporting and related matters.
  • Provide high level technical advice and support within the team.
  • Manage and support a team of Audit staff to achieve their goals and objectives ensuring they are developing their skills and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contacts and colleagues.
  • Work closely with the audit team to ensure audit work is handled efficiently and effectively from start to finish and is done in accordance with the Firm's Audit policy and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Be a principal contact for clients on day-to-day audit matters.
  • Building relationships with client staff and pension scheme industry contacts and acting as an ambassador for the firm.
  • Pro-actively ensure that deadlines are met, and that progress is monitored and that the audit RIs are kept informed.

Your Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to impact and influence others.
  • Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred.
  • Qualified CA/ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff.
  • Practical experience of using software systems in the preparation of audit files and audit working papers. Full training will be given on all software packages.
  • The successful candidate will also have good organisational skills and be pro-active in their approach to their work.
