Operational Risk Manager - Global Markets, Sydney

Responsibilities

• Advise and bring your expert opinion and guidance on best operational risk practice to the markets business.
• Be a key player in projects and new operational risk initiatives throughout the team but also implementing and project managing change among the various markets business lines.
• Identify and manage key risks within the operational framework.
• Using your expertise and insight to scrutinise, analyse and effectively relay key operational risk initiatives and strategy to the global markets teams and wider corporate business.
• Challenge and provide a recommendation to operational risk methodology and best practice for reporting, incident strategy and assurance.

Requirements

• 4 - 9 years within financial services in Operational risk is desired.
• Holds astute global markets knowledge and experience within relevant asset classes and products in risk advisory.
• Must be an effective relationship builder and confidence facing off to senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of desk lines.
• Internal Audit (3rd line) experience is welcome if the candidate is covering global markets.
