Responsibilities
  • Conducting reviews of the quality of financial advice provided by clients.
  • Compliance framework reviews for AFS licensees, focusing on framework design and effectiveness, monitoring and supervision activities.
  • Working with clients to solve complex challenges associated with regulatory change, compliance management practices and regulator engagement.
  • Contributing to scoping, execution and delivery on a variety of compliance reviews, remediation programs, and compliance advisory projects.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, maintaining these relationships after engagement completion.
  • Interpreting and assisting clients in the application of regulatory obligations, industry standards and best practice principles including ASIC guidance.

Requirements
  • A developed understanding and practical experience of all aspects of the financial advice industry.
  • A strong awareness of the industry landscape in both a pre and post FOFA environment.
  • A sound knowledge of a broad range of financial products, including investment, superannuation, platform, and personal insurance.
  • Experience with financial advice software systems will be viewed favourably.
  • Tertiary qualification(s), preferably business or finance related.
  • Industry qualifications (completed or in progress) such as ADFP or CFP, will be viewed favourably.
