Senior Internal Auditor - Data Analytics
My client are a UK recognised brand within insurance and financial services products and due to an internal move, Jefferson Tiley are assisting with the recruitment of an experienced internal auditor with a heavy emphasis on data and data analytics who will be based from their Surrey or South Coast offices.
First and foremost this is an internal auditor role.
Reporting into and being supported by the Head of Internal Audit, the internal auditor will be responsible for:
Leading and delivering end to end internal audits across the business.
Taking the lead on data heavy internal audits
Managing the internal audit data analytics strategy across the business.
Planning, executing and reporting analytical assignments to required quality standards either individually or as part of a team.
Balancing a portfolio of work assignments to meet agreed completion dates and allocated time budgets.
Conducting analysis of core business data to identify areas meriting further investigation.
Contributing to the continual development of the audit team team's application of analytical techniques.
Validating and testing data and reports used for financial reporting or regulatory submissions.
Developing continuous monitors and analytical routines for auditing or to be embedded with management.
As an experienced internal auditor with a focus on data analytics, ideally you will have:
Good understanding of the principles of data governance
Experience of statistical analytical techniques and their application
Experience in use of data visualisation tools such as OBIEE
Experience in use of MS Access, MS Excel, Oracle databases, ACL, Hyperion, Big Data Discovery, Web Focus and data warehousing applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of our organisation.
