The Data Engineer market in Germany is very buoyant at the moment and companies across all sectors are looking to expand their data teams and my fin-tech Client is no different in that respect. What does set them apart though is their commitment to the long-term development of your leadership skills and how they can mould you into being a future leader of some really cool projects within the company.
So what will you be doing here? Well, quite a few things actually; you'll not only get the chance to build their data platform but you'll also get to play a part in creating the overall data infrastructure of the company and the team. This will involve making sure the platform is secure, stable and of course scalable.
But don't worry, if you're thinking "I don't want to just create a platform" there will be many more projects for you to get your teeth stuck into. The really good thing about this role is they want you to be able to lead projects within the company in the future so you'll also be assigned your own mentor from the beginning who can guide you and train you to become a leader of innovation and technological advancement within the company.
What will you need to have? They'd like you to have around 2 years experience in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills and experience with ETL operations. In terms of your Cloud experience, any provider would be fine for them as long as you have the experience (so whether that is GCP, AWS, or Azure, they'll like that). Bonus points if you're familiar with the modern data tech stack of Airflow, Docker and dbt too.
You'll need to come from a product background too, that will be crucial for this role.
If you want to work with a diverse team of professionals in a really cool start-up environment then please apply. You know you'll be joining a company that is going to develop you into becoming a future leader of some of the most exciting data innovations in Germany. Why not take the chance?
