Georgeson, a Computershare Company is searching for an ESG Analyst to join their advisory team. An individual with relevant professional experience and knowledge of ESG concepts, who is able to demonstrate a passion for ESG and operate in an entrepreneurial environment within a large, global organization.

A role you will love

As ESG Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of research, operational and analytical tasks to support Georgeson’s ESG advisory services. You will help the team identify and evaluate ESG issues for clients, including producing research content, managing data systems and supporting clients’ engagements with institutional investors.

This is an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for Environmental and Social issues and a willingness to develop and contribute to a leading ESG advisory practice.

Other key responsibilities:
  • Support team members with data retrieval and analysis
  • Identify emerging ESG topics and best practices
  • Act as a project manager to coordinate all aspects of the client engagement and manage client delivery timeline
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to create user-friendly, visually appealing presentations, reports, dashboards and infographics
  • Communicate with clients on a range of ESG issues and shareholder engagement strategies
  • Together with the ESG advisory team, develop product and services offerings
  • Develop issue-specific expertise to act as a resource internally and externally on ESG matters
  • Data systems use and management, including internal proprietary databases and CRM platforms


What will you bring to the role?

You will already have professional services experience in a related field (such as legal or financial services consultation) and an understanding of ESG concepts and reporting frameworks (TCFD, SASB etc). Experience in one or more of the following would be well-regarded: reporting frameworks, investor initiatives. engagement with ESG rating and data organizations, Sustainable financing matters.

Your natural ability to gather, process and organise large volumes of information and communicate this will allow you to provide high quality analysis of issues and potential solutions. We will give you access to research systems such as Bloomberg and FactSet to enable this.

A committed and collaborative team player, you will be able to work independently and be willing to share thoughts, be comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and developing and debating ideas.

Additional requirements:
  • Familiarity with public company voluntary and required disclosure documents, such as ESG reports, proxy statements, earnings reports
  • Confident speaker and excellent presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Attention to detail, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Applications, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable working with others and collaborating with team members
  • Flexible and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks
