The GGC Operations team is effectively a legal operations team with wider application, supporting the Legal, Compliance and Governance teams. It is a relatively new team, small but mighty, to which collaboration both within GGC and outside the broader team is essential

The business are a well know Financial Services Organisation based in Liverpool.

Description

The role will have one direct report, the GGC Operations Analyst and will work together with the Legal Operations Analyst and the Head of GGC Operations. It is anticipated that the right candidate will have an opportunity to come in with a solid level of experience within data analytics, reporting and some of the other areas noted below. It is not expected that the right candidate will have equal experience in all areas. The role will offer broad development opportunities.

The role will engage in a wide variety of activities undertaken by the GGC team in order to provide efficiencies, risk management and process enhancement beneficial to the function.

This role will also support the Head of GGC Operations on strategic projects, manage the GGC Operations Analyst and undertake business as usual operational tasks which are explained further below.

Key responsibilities

  • Data Analytics / MI Reporting
    • MI and Reporting: to assist the Group General Counsel in the production of GGC reporting, including Harvest data;
    • Support the Compliance and Governance function in the production of quarterly MI;
    • Input into and preparation of reports for Committees and Board;
    • Finance KPI reporting; and
    • Design and maintain Power BI solutions for the GGC teams.

 

  • Risk Management
    • Maintenance of the GGC Risk Registers and the GGC Key Processes and Controls and ensuring that reviews are undertaken of these (as stated in each) and the related KPIs and KRIs, as appropriate; and
    • Support the breach assessment process and reporting and analysis of the data gathered in relation to it.

 

  • Spend Management
    • Liaison with Finance and GGC Heads of to look at accruals, forecasting and other budget monitoring and management tasks.

Profile

Your experience

  • Highly organised; ability to manage multiple workstreams, with competing priorities and differing delivery timescales
  • A creative mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Power BI and Excel
  • High energy and positive outlook
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to build relationships both within the immediate team and with wider business stakeholders and business partners
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Support of process enhancements, process mapping and efficiencies
  • Flexible approach with a willingness to constructively challenge
  • Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
  • An ability to consider the value of data in improving reporting.

Job Offer

The successful candidate will receive a competitive package;

  • Salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience
