Permanent

35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the Computershare team within the Issuer Services area of our business.

Working with Audit and Risk, this team ensure comprehensive delivery of regional operational governance including losses, BCP, breaches, risks and ACE requirements. This is a great opening to join the team on a permanent basis in a hybrid role.

The role

The Governance and Operational Support manager will report to the Regional Director, Issuer Services and will provide functional expertise in solving specific business or client requirements.

Becoming established in the role, you’ll act as a subject matter expert for internal and external audit and compliance requirements, including participation in reviews and producing findings reports.

Partnering with the Regional Manager Meetings, Disbursements, Corporate Action, Registry/TA and Tax teams to ensure all BIA/BCP are updated comprehensively and all pRCSA/CSAs/root cause/documentation in ACE or other systems are completed within SLAs. You’ll report on and provide recommendations to the leadership team on matters relating to financials, regulations and resources.

Manage a small team of Operational Support Specialists, you’ll be comfortable in leading, managing, and coaching the team on projects, process improvements and delivery of business activities.

Other Key Accountabilities
  • Deliver Dividends in CREST accurately and on time.
  • Record and monitor all entries in ACE ensuring these are opened within 5 business days and closed within 60 business days.
  • Ensure all quarterly, six monthly or annual risk reviews are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage UAT on CREST system.
  • Review losses to identify possible enhancements to processes.
  • Partner with the appropriate SMEs from within the Operations team and GCG to ensure all the paperwork is completed in ACE
  • Support with or ensure control risk assessments/root cause analysis is being undertaken.
  • All open items in ACE or claims are tracked, recovered/closed and updated in ACE as well as incident management database.
  • Partner with GCG to seek guidance and ensure overall governance framework alignment
  • Support the prep for the quarterly governance review
  • Management the losses process and update in ACE as required
  • Monitor the cash and stock breaks and provide support to their resolution
  • QA Breach submissions

Skills/Experience & Competencies

We’re looking for an operationally focused candidate with strong knowledge of regulation from a Financial Services background. Ideally be able to evidence process design and operational delivery.

You’ll need to quickly get up to speed with the specialised nature of our product and marketplace, comfortable dealing with a variety of stakeholders, and be able to discuss complex queries or issues with external and internal regulators there and then to evidence compliance.

Able to manage a small operational team, hold coaching & upskilling sessions, 121’s and robust conversations when managing the people.
