We have a unique opportunity for someone to contribute their talents and strengths as a Technical Specialist within our Global Core Operations unit.

Global Core Operations (GCO) is the foundation of growth that underpins Computershare’s global strategy. To better serve our business lines, GCO is structured as a truly global organisation, rather than several standalone groups in different regions and business lines.

GCO provides service delivery to clients and their accountholders worldwide for functions that support all of Computershare’s global lines of business. Service delivery functions include client event management, customer support, recordkeeping, asset custody, dealing and transaction processing. Services will be delivered across our global footprint and supported by underlying technology that enables optimization of execution.

We continually review and analyze ways in which we can be more efficient and manage our operating costs. As Computershare continues to grow, we will continue to refine our GCO strategy with a focus on the best means to provide efficient, effective service to our clients and their stakeholders, as well as a positive working environment for our employees

A role you will love

This role will be responsible for a combination of programming and technical business analyst functions including configuration maintenance, requirement documents, and development work on various internal and vendor-based applications. You will work with other project team members to help identify, analyze and implement continuous improvement opportunities as well as larger projects for all supported systems and applications. Eye for detail, time-management, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver successful outcomes are integral to this role.

• Complete all programming to schedule and within the estimated time limit.

• Learn and support all internal systems; resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Adhere to departmental and company standards, processes and procedures.
• Deliver programs of the highest quality which meet or exceed clients' expectations.
• Provide feedback to the Systems Implementation Manager with respect to: attention to approach, consistency, re-usability, quality, documentation style, completeness and development methodology.
• Working in a test & live production environment, provide technical support to all team members and/or stakeholders.
• Liaise with other areas of the business for effective communications.
• Trouble shooting, maintenance and upgrades of applications.
• Develop processes/systems that increase operational throughput, improve efficiency, and reduce operating costs on an ongoing basis.

What will you bring to the role?

As this role sits within our Dividends team, excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate diplomatically with internal/external partners, project team members, internal business partners and other key stakeholders alike.

Some other key skills that you’ll have:

• Create code that is robust, scalable and modular.
• Degree or diploma in IT or related discipline.
• Microsoft BI (Business Intelligence) including SSRS/SSIS (SQL Server Reporting/Integration Services) experience. Power-BI knowledge/experience is an asset.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to recognize changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications required (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint & strong VBA).
• Lean Six Sigma methodology and experience in Lean Continuous Improvement (preferred).
• Agile Project Management experience (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Proficiency in all MS Office applications with specific competency in MS Excel, Access, SQL.

• The selected candidate must have strong working programming knowledge with VB/C#, MS SQL combined with advanced level Microsoft Excel, Access and VBA (preferred) programming: 3 - 5 years.
