About us
SCTC, based in Lausanne, an affiliate company of Starbucks Coffee Company, is responsible for all of Starbucks green coffee purchasing functions and continues an unwavering commitment to sourcing, roasting and delivering only the highest quality Arabica coffees.

We are seeking a resourceful and proactive Sustainability Coordinator to join a dynamic team of business professionals.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Control, Monitor and Track annual purchasing data and approve payment of invoices.
Ensure daily alignment with suppliers and extract corresponding supplier information facts update and recap. Carry-out extractions for analysis, identification of problem areas, inconsistencies, etc., and raising awareness to relevant teams.
Support coffee trading team in facilitating visibility over supply chains volumes, statuses and validities to assist their sourcing strategy and volume allocations.
Handle increasing number of internal / external queries regarding program compliance, traceability, data input, payment approvals etc.
Be in constant communication with 3rd party software providers to improve reliability and controls of information entered in the Sustainability platform by contributing to the maintenance, development, and implementation of new functionalities.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups and various Farmer Support Center offices around the world on sustainability and Ethical Sourcing efforts
Participate to annual external and internal audits related to sustainability and ethical sourcing programs.
Attend supplier visits and alignment with trading team strategies / extraction of available data from the Sustainability platform for practical use by trading team.
Check to ensure the C.A.F.E. Practices strategic premium payment requests are eligible for approval
Continued team work on developing and improving our C.A.F.E. Practices program.

Position is an all-round multi-task position requiring flexibility and willingness to take on and learn new tasks as needed in a cross-functional and international business environment.
The successful candidate should have the following experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are essential. French and Brazilian Portuguese a plus.
Solid experience in international and multi-cultural working environments. Work experience in developing countries is an advantage.
Experience in coffee or any other agricultural commodity and/or agronomy a definite plus.
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a global team. Fine interpersonal, networking and teamwork skills are essential.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive business experience in sourcing, supply chain management, customer service, administrative support or another analytical/business function.
Strong attention to detail combined with demonstrated problem-solving and planning skills. Flexibility to adjust to a changing workload to ensure timely results while respecting deadlines.
Familiar with auditing processes is an advantage.
Participate to multiple projects and working groups. Communicate effectively to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to identify inefficiencies and gaps in an analytical manner that generates fair and prompt resolution of problems and mitigate any potential risks / Promote the Continuous Improvement culture across the organization.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office tools (good command in Excel and PowerPoint, and general database management). Understanding of computer programming is a plus.
Willing to travel in general and specially to developing countries once a year
