With the business going through an exciting period of growth & development we are currently looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join us on a permanent basis.

The purpose of this role is to optimise the performance of collections and recovery portfolios by designing, implementing and ongoing optimisation of analytics strategies.

You will be joining a dynamic and industrious team and the role offers the opportunity to work alongside talented, senior members of a fast-paced agile organisation. There is also opportunity for progression, and strong performance will be quickly recognised and well rewarded.

This is a permanent role and will be based at our Manchester offices with some home working.

What will you be doing?

Develop a deep analytical understanding of our portfolios and customers to evaluate available strategic options.

Analyse data to understand collections performance, risks and opportunities to inform the design, and implementation to optimise existing collection strategies or devise novel solutions.

Leverage external data sources e.g. CRA and other 3rd party data for insight and strategy development.

Identify the best solution to address weaknesses and opportunities by regular champion-challenger trials.

Report on identified solutions to internal stakeholders, advising them of the key benefits and associated value.

Ensure that key stakeholders are kept aware of the progression of deliverables.

Deputise for the Head of Portfolio Strategy when necessary.

Do you have?

Strong Excel/ SQL application knowledge is required.

Educated to degree level - degree in a quantitative field e.g. mathematics/physics/engineering/ economics or relevant experience

A logical and analytical approach to problem solving

Experience with working in an agile development environment

Strong communicator with positive influencing and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and an ability to lead on the end to end delivery of projects

Ability to synthesise complex ideas and analytical results and then present these in a clear and concise manner to internal stakeholders

Effective prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities

Experience of the application of analytics and strategy in a collections department of a bank, lender or utilities firm

Ability to engage multiple stakeholders to execute strategies
