Internal Audit Manager

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company are pleased to be recruiting for an Internal Audit Manager within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in external / internal audit (preferably internal controls over financial reporting, financial, internal controls, etc.)

The post holder will be expected to manage the annual internal audit plan for the European region and cross-regionally as needed, including the supervision of audit staff, planning and scoping of audits, managing fieldwork, workpaper review, and preparing audit reports for Executive Management. 

The Position reports to the Group Audit Director and Internal Audit Director with excellent exposure across the business to senior stakeholders. The role also has approximately 20% travel and would require the post holder to be in the office 2 days per week, just outside of Oxford.

Skill Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge in internal control / audit based regulatory (e.g., public company) requirements and frameworks (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley Act; PCAOB; UK Corporate Governance Code)
• Proficient understanding of Audit and Accounting Standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, GAAS, ISA UK)
• Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, data base applications, etc.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience encompassing: External / internal audit (preferably internal controls over financial reporting, financial, internal controls, etc.)
• Corporate accounting and executive management reporting, presentations, etc. IFRS, GAAP, local statutory accounting requirements
• Supervisory / team management
• International experience
• Public company financial reporting (preferably U.S. and UK)
