Our client is a pensions and investments business located to the South of Greater London. They are on a significant growth curve over the next 2 years moving into a new business area and improving their entire operational infrastructure and as such are recruiting an Operational Risk Manager to help support this growth. This is a role where you will be able to make a real difference to an immature risk landscape and ensure that the wider business becomes adopts a robust risk management approach to aid their growth.
Responsibilities
Full ownership of risk reporting for senior management
Improvement of risk reporting process
Design and implementation of Risk framework across the business
Support and guidance for the 1LOD in terms of best practice, RCSA s, Control testing and attestation
Definition of boundaries for 3LOD risk management model
Oversight of risk methodology and best practice for the investments business unit
Building relationships with business heads to ensure risk methodology is in line with risk appetite and ensure collaboration
Line management and development of 2 Risk Officers
Required Skills/Experience
Prior experience of designing and implementing risk frameworks (Enterprise/operational/conduct)
Risk reporting experience
Strong knowledge of risk management and 3LOD model
Deep Knowledge of Investment management and associated risks
Strong influencer and relationship builder at all levels
Coaching mentoring and management of junior members of staff and direct team
Experience working in a 2LOD risk function
Hybrid working 2 days p/w office based
